Tai Wan Part 1, super super.. SUPER OVER DUE POST!

If you follow me on twitter(and you should if you haven't), you should know that I went to Taiwan for 12 days with my mother! We planned to walk around free and easy for the whole 12 days but mum found a super good deal for the both of us from DEAL! The website functions similarly to Groupon and many other discount and fabulous website but I guess this is website features more deals for traveling locally or overseas. So if you're planning to go anywhere, do check out some of the great deals that they offer there! So mum found this deal where we could go on a land tour for 6 days, but what's even better is whole six days cost us $388 in total. What's even more awesome is that the breakfast, transport, hotel is totally included, so you won't have to bear any other additional fees! I've also spoken with some of the other Singaporeans where I've met in TW, from what I've heard many of you actually fly to Tai Wan then book 1 day tour for over $150 PER DAY. That's crazy expensive when comparing with the ones that I got from deal okay! So moving on to our trip!

To prep myself for the flight, I brought "Dear John" for myself to read in case I cannot fall asleep even though my flight is at 8am and I had to wake up at 5.15am plus I slept at 3am the night before. I kiasu(afraid of losing) cannot is it?!

And a tip for you, if you plan on reading or watching a movie on flight, DON'T EVER CHOOSE MOVIES OR BOOKS ABOUT LOVE OR ANYTHING THAT YOU ARE UNSURE IF IT WILL MAKE YOU CRY OR NOT. CAUSE IT WILL!

Yes by that you should know that I fucking cried during my flight and I had to pretend that I'm just having runny nose(i gave up and weeped in the end). FML. Dear John was a great great read though! You should read it, but never during silent reading(cause you will cry) but if you're that type that does not cry then it's okay. Maybe you can read it then quickly put it away and cry in front of your crush to trick him into comforting you(wtf I sound so pro at this).

Day 1 was free and easy! So after the tour people transported us to our hotel, we are left to roam around on our own. Since our hotel was located right smack in the middle of Taipei, mum and I decided to go to XI MEN DING for a walk! I also heard that it's like a "shopping heaven" for people around my age. But to my disappointment I didn't buy much cause it's nearing winter and there isn't much summer clothes I could buy to wear back here at home. Hence, I splurged(well kinda) on make up and just a few piece of clothes! Also, both of us walked around for awhile and realized "aye! Haven eaten dinner yet!" cause it's nearing winter and we did not know that the skies would turn dark so quickly, it looked like 9pm when it was really just 5.30pm. Checked our watches and proceeded to laugh at our own stupidity. I also did not take much photos cause it got dark half and hour after we got out of our hotel.



Okay short joke. While on our way to the hotel, the driver told us "I'm driving you to VIP's hotel, it is very convenient and food stalls are just around the corner." then inside my heart I thought "Omg, we are VIPs! That's so cool, never stay in VIP room in hotel before!" Then I sat in the car waiting and wanting to go to my hotel. And this is what greeted me when we reached...... I totally -.-" x10

So the first day was free and easy so mum and I went out for a walk at at Xi Men Ding!

Picture not well taken, but basically it's a big street with lots of good food and nice clothes and it's very easy to get there. Like just come out from MRT station and you're here! The whole white building there is Uniqlo if I'm not wrong. They have HUGE uniqlo stores in Taiwan.

Then while walking we found cute stuff!

 Toy shop, they sell super cute toys from damn random cartoons, i mean. Look at Elmo, Totoro and the random poopy head dude with dripping mucus(which i wanted to buy but mum said it's too ugly to look at).

 

Look at these beautiful blobs of happiness! I think they're the second most photogenic food after Macaroons!

You can consider me cute as well cause I purposely put pink lipstick for you ;) I obviously had a bit too much fun with editing pictures..

Then we went back to my VIP hotel!!

Hey guys, it's definitely been awhile since I've last blogged. Now I'm back, more intact with the social media thing now. I hope I'll just hang on to this better from now on and update more frequently. Since I use my laptop a lot more often now. Time passed by so quickly, and 2013 is going to draw to a close. I have to say that I enjoyed my year a lot, and I came to realize how much I've been missing out on for the past two years.

So yeah, I've been missing out on lots of fun, lots of things that are more valuable than just self loathe and insecurities. It's just been a really rocky, but happy 2013. A lot has happened since my last post.
I remember meeting Denis shortly after my previous post. And falling in love with him. It's nice.
I remember going out on dates, well not really. But yeah, we hang out almost.. erm.. everyday and I can't stop smiling to myself on my way home after we end it with a warm cuddly hug and smiling to myself, thinking about silly and embarrassing questions.

Oh yea, prepare for two haul videos coming up maybe early next year. Cause I'm going to Korea and Macau in December! Well maybe you don't care about my hauls, but yeap, just a heads up for what's going to be on the YT channel with Ashley :)

A very abrupt change of subject. So the other day I went to stalk Denis' twitter account, after asking him why don't he use twitter anymore and yeah I'm still a creepy stalker, and yes, I still secretly fan girl over him every now and then. I just can't help it. Even after like umm being together with him for about almost 11 months now. Yeap. So yeah I was just having lots of fun replying to his old tweets.

TAI WAN HAUL VIDEO

Hi guys! I'm back with a new blogpost and it's about my very first video! So many of you might know that I went to TaiWan during mid til end of November with my mum! And being the shopaholic! I've got myself some stuff that I thought maybe you would like to see(maybe not) hehe!

And my YouTube channel name is JoySugarRush. So a short story of how I got my name from!
Couple of days ago, I went on a job hunt with BFF, Amelia and Vivien, so all four of us got interviews and we needed to meet our agents at Orchard. So we got there at around 2 to 3pm and we thought that it would take us quite awhile to settle our information and interviews. So by the time we(planned in mind) are done with our important things we would be tired and would like to go home. But.... NO! Everything was done within like 45minutes.

We then walked around aimlessly at Orchard, well mainly at scape and cine and whatnot. Then we were like "urghhh where to go, so boring....." from 4pm to 5.15pm. FAST FORWARD! Then suddenly, Vivien said "I wanna eat at a buffet restaurant" and BFF said "Why not Karaoke?" then Amelia and I was "Umm anything, Movie would be nice too." So majority won! We decided to watch Alex Cross. Then we headed to eat at Graffiti Cafe at B1 of Cineleisure since our movie starts at 7pm. All of us was pretty hungry and I insisted that I wanted a large popcorn so I didn't really eat there(shared BestFriesForever with them though)

We then bought the combos that came with large popcorn and two large drinks. YEAP! I ALMOST FINISHED THE WHOLE LARGE POPCORN(BFF ATE MINIMAL AMT COMPARED TO ME)!!! 

I instantly regret the moment I laid down on my bed, Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber, Bon Jovi, Lady GaGa started to give me a mini concert in my head, I rolled around in bed for 3 hours before I finally managed to sleep. I even googled "How to fall asleep quickly" and one of the suggestions was 'Do not use computer or look at bright objects one hour before sleeping as it sends alerts to your brain to stay awake.' I was like oh fml. Finally fell asleep at 4.30am. I blame the caramelized popcorn. It's a love hate relationship. But I usually don't have such a problem with popcorn. So then came the name JoySugarRush.

Honestly, no. I’m not that great and mighty to do that for all the ones that are suffering, but I believe that someday it will all be better.

It was something I had, on this guy called Jonathan when I was six. We got punished by the teacher together and I confessed to him wtf. When the Chinese zombies floated to my house in crates and the nurses are not able to transport me to higher grounds because she was too bitchy and my uncle fell off my house, eventually becoming zombie food and I stood there almost pissing my pants while my dad and mum are screaming in the same pitch.

Would you rather spend one year with your one true love just to never see them again or the rest of your life with second best?

The rest of my life with second best. Because I don’t want to create memories in a year that would make me sad in future. I would rather be happy all the way til I die or something.

Harry Potter is hands down, the best! Rip-offs are just pffft, not very classy.

Rich beyond imagination and be emotionally dissatisfied for life until I find my male version of Anastasia Steele(50 shades of grey) and recover.

Nope, I’m a verbal person.

Neutral, personally I don’t have much faith in god, I believe that science have yet to be studied totally as of how humans were created and stuff. But it is also bad because people won’t have anything to believe in, I’ve heard many stories of how their God have saved lives and restore hope in people so it would be a bad thing if religions did not exist.

What’s men’s right movement? Cause I’ve never heard about this.

 Do looks mean anything to you? Don't lie, could you fall in love with someone you thought was ugly? 

I’m not going to be a whiney person and say that looks don’t matter. Because it does! I mean, I can actually fall in love with someone I think is ugly but if we really get married I would be secretly unhappy with the way he looks for the rest of my life. So maybe some good character, humor and abs could do the magic.

Because admit it, guys are automatically hotter when they have nice abs and is humorous.

Can you understand the mindset and logic used by the opposite spiritual opinion? An atheist understanding the belief in a higher power and vice versa.

It is always interesting to learn about other people’s beliefs, it’s about learning and understanding instead of always blindly following.

The day I turned 17!

It's been awhile since I've posted aye! O levels are finally over and I've already forgotten everything that I've learned in school already(mindblock) and here I am blogging and wasting my life away! So life is pretty much pointless now since I have no job and I am broke. Have to go get a job quickly! Not trying to brag here but traveling is the main reason why I do not have time for a job(say wuuut). Ikr kinda fml but kinda not fml lolwtf.

So before the O levels was my birthday! Fucking bitch i don't wanna get old so quickly even though I'm only 17. Cause it's like my freedom is still limited by my parents and sometimes I'm quite free to go anywhere so I'm like "wtf can I do this? I don't know what my parents will think about this.." and my dad's reactions are the most unpredictable ones. Either he's mad, damn mad or don't care at all. And you might say that I should know how my dad will react based on my actions cause y'know they set clear rules and stuff and that I should know where the line is drawn. But for your information my Dad allows me to drink and my mum actually asked me if i wanted to experience how smoking feels like(MEGA WTF HERE PEOPLE)! And they get mad at me for coming home late when I go out with my girlfriends. I don't understand them. Period.

So being the innocent angel(aka pig) that I am, I did not go to clubs or anywhere dangerous on my birthday,I went to have Japanese buffet at Todai which serves a WIDE WIDE WIDE variety of food, with BFFs and HanLin at MBS!

The couple while on the train, we went there early, around 5pm when our reserved time was around 7pm so we had lots of time to shop and take some pictures of random nonsense.  And since neither me nor WenShing have tried macaroons before.. EVER. BFF decided to get some of those pretty little macaroons from TWG for us and cause it's my birthday so she has to do it.

After getting these we had nowhere to go cause MBS carries all the high end goods so poor kids like us went to the skypark while waiting for Wenshing to join us. It was damn windy up there I swear! And I went "Omg I think my eyelashes flying away!!!" Cause I drama.

It is quite a big place so you don't have to worry about squeezing with others to get your food but the chilli crab is pretty popular so you have to actually queue for that! But we did not eat those cause us girls don't wanna get our hands dirty, and i think HanLin was lazy wtf.

1. Is it cute when guys kiss you on your forehead?
Umm, when I'm self conscious I don't think it's cute, cause I'm afraid that my forehead is oily(WHICH IT IS NOT!). The problem lies with me so I don't think I would be comfortable with guys kissing my forehead.

2. A big poofy dress or a short party dress?

Short party dress.

3. Are diamonds a girl's best friend?

No. I don't know why girls NEED diamonds. But I believe that when girls wear diamond necklace or anything diamond-ish lol, they feel more confident, so it's more like a "make yourself feel better" thing instead of a best friend. Cause you cannot bitch with a diamond(literally best friend I'm talking about).

Well I used to get them done more frequently since my stepmum's a manicurist. But every now and then when I'm in the mood I get my pedicure session muahahaha! But I always spoil them in awhile :(

Yes, I'm normally too lazy to do my make up. But recently I put in more effort to doll up.

I'm not sure if they're big, but I own like 3 pairs of sunglasses, those cheap one.

Morning means school. So 1 hour, not because I take a long time to do my hair or anything. I just need time to wake up and eat.

Can I choose pearl? Okay maybe gold.

No, except when I'm lazy to match my outfit.
